In 2009, New Line Theatre and The Washington Avenue Players Project asked for submissions of scenes and songs for a new musical theatre piece focusing on Rush Limbaugh as a snapshot or crystallization of this moment in American culture, for a full-length musical theatre piece, called Rush Limbaugh Saves the World. Because many of the submissions were of lesser quality than we hoped, the project has been put on hold, but may be revived at some point in the future.
New Line Theatre and WAPP are not connected to Rush Limbaugh, and Mr. Limbaugh has not endorsed this project.
